This week, Maria talks to Ana Lopez - a Sexologist and Sex Coach  - about sex, open communication, and having constructive conversations about your wants and needs in every area of life, including in the workplace.

Ana and Maria delve into the dual socialization that immigrants get that can make their conditioning around sex and their own needs very confusing. And the general socialization women get that makes it additionally tough to be open and honest in many situations. They talk about why immigrant women in particular can experience a disorienting tug of war between what they believe socially and politically vs. what they've learned from their culture, communities, and families at home. And how they can unlearn that socialization and shift their beliefs in order to easier to have the diffiicult but crucial conversations in their personal and professional lives.

Ana Lopez is a proud Latina, sexologist, Certified Sex & Life Coach and Smut Consultant. Her mission is to help women shed the shame they have around sex and teach them to have guilt-free pleasure. Ana utilizes her background in therapy, cutting edge research, and coaching techniques to aid women in getting to the root of their sexual frustrations while teaching them to utilize the only pleasure tool they will ever need: the mind.
